Meet Moose, our newest addition to the Summit community. Moose is a three month old purebred boxer that has quickly become the “top dog” on campus.
Moose isn’t just any dog – he is a certified emotional support dog. Emotional support dogs provide comfort and support in forms of affection and companionship for individuals suffering from mental and emotional conditions by providing emotional stability and unconditional love. Moose gained his certification by a medical professional based on his demeanor, in addition to meeting other criteria.
Moose enjoys playing with the students, taking naps, and going for walks during gym class! Time with Moose isn’t only about playing – students are also learning how to help care for him by assisting with feeding, training and cleaning up. Moose has already brought so much happiness to Summit and everyone loves having him on campus.
