The social worker is the point of contact between Summit and the child's family. He or she keeps the family in touch with the child's progress at Summit, and helps the family adjust to the changes that can be expected both within the child and in the child's relationship to the family.ĂSThis is achieved through contacts ranging from informal telephone consultations to scheduled family therapy sessions. All social workers are certified by New York State, and are qualified at the Master's level.
